Megan Smith

Motherhood can be a wonderful time but it can also be a difficult process and adjustment. I am committed to helping new and experienced moms and dads struggling to support each other through this transition.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Arizona. I am an Arizona native, born and raised in the Phoenix area. In my free time, I am usually found chasing after my three young children or training for a half-marathon with my husband.

I attended Northern Arizona University where I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, then continued on to earn a Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University. I have professional training and experience which includes Infertility, Birth Trauma, Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders and Adjustment to Motherhood.

I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and I find there is great success when life’s traumas are discovered and resolved. In addition, I am trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), which is essential to learning and managing emotions while effectively communicating with others

Micaela Miller

I received my master’s degree in Professional Counseling. I am currently enrolled in a doctoral program in Clinical Psychology. I am a Licensed Associate Counselor with the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners. I specialize in infant/toddler mental health, children birth to five and trauma. I provide a unique ability to work with trauma at all ages due to her knowledge and experience working with childhood trauma in childhood.

It is my passion to advocate for children and support the foundation of family bonds. I have worked with families for nearly two decades and have worked in mental health care for five years. Specializing in relationships and individual support, my integrative approach is tailored to meet each family’s goals. I utilize my various trainings and certifications, from play therapy to sandtray, cognitive behavioral therapy to parent-child interaction therapy, to assure the client is heard and provided knowledgeable, ethical support. It is my lifelong mission to support parents and their relationship with their children.

I have experience working with clients on an individual and family level. The family therapy approach addresses emotional, behavioral, and psychological concerns that influence family system dysregulation. The family members will work together with the support of the therapist to build communication skills and strengthen relationships. Individually, play therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and neuro sequential model techniques address behaviors observed from dysregulation.

Whether the needs are behavioral, relationship-based, or trauma related my mission is to provide a safe environment and support mental health wellness.

My goal is to create a safe space for my clients to feel heard and understood, while exploring their emotions, experiences and goals. With openness, curiosity and compassion, I hope to empower my clients and encouraging them to focus on their unique strengths, as well as find a balance between self-compassion, acceptance and change. To provide clients with practical tools and skills so that they leave therapy with a sense of confidence and resiliency in navigating life’s many challenges, is my ultimate goal as a therapist.

Outside of my passion for mental health, I enjoy hiking, yoga, embroidering, and movies. I am also an Arizona native and mother to my beautiful 8 year old daughter.

Ftimah Ilahi

I earned my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grand Canyon University and work with adults and teens navigating a variety of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, attachment wounds, life transitions, relationship challenges, substance use concerns, identity exploration, grief, and family-related issues.

My therapeutic approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, and client-centered, integrating CBT, DBT, and EMDR interventions tailored to each client's individual needs.

I believe healing happens in a space where you feel truly seen, heard, and supported. My passion is walking alongside clients as they navigate challenges, build insight, and reconnect with their strengths. I strive to create a compassionate and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel empowered to explore patterns, develop resilience, and create meaningful change.

I am currently practicing under the supervision of Megan Smith while pursuing Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) licensure in Arizona. Outside of counseling, I enjoy spending time outdoors, hiking, traveling to the coast, and exploring with my rescue dog, Gracie.
